Aaron Carter Arrest and Troubles
Carter was arrested in Georgia on July 15 on suspicion of driving under the influence and drug possession. He denied that he was under the influence while driving. Carter claimed that he was experiencing car troubles at the time. His girlfriend, Madison Parker, was with him that night and was also arrested on drug charges along with obstruction of law enforcement officers.
In June, Aaron Carter was briefly hospitalized for exhaustion and spoke out against those who have been body-shaming him. He said his thin frame is the result of a hiatal hernia that he was diagnosed with when he was 19. Carter has been vocal about his struggles with depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders in the past. In 2008, he was also arrested in Texas when he was pulled over for speeding. Authorities also found less than two ounces of marijuana in his car.
Aaron Carter’s Split With Madison Parker
Carter’s rep confirmed that the singer and Parker have split. “Aaron and Madison love each other and respect one another dearly. It was a mutual decision and Aaron’s personal statement released speaks for itself. Now back to the music,” Carter’s rep said in a statement (via People Magazine).
After his arrest with Parker last month, Carter opened up about the incident. He revealed to Entertainment Tonight his desire to settle down with Parker. “I wanna be married. I wanna be engaged to my beautiful girlfriend, Madison. I wanna be a good father, a good role model, a strong role model,” he said.
Aaron Carter also had high-profile relationships with Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan. In 2003, he dated Lohan while he was still in a relationship with Duff. This led to a feud between the two. The I Want Candy singer broke up with Lohan in April 2003 and resumed dating Duff. Later that same year, Carter reportedly cheated on Duff, so she ended their on-and-off two-year relationship.
